Registration is underway for the PNW District 3rd Quarter District Meeting, one of the best meetings that any Optimist International district can host during the administrative year. What makes this meeting stand head and shoulders above the rest? Youth.During the third quarter, the finalists for the Optimist International Oratorical contest and Communications Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing come together for a weekend of learning, speaking, sharing and growth. Adults are inspired by their words and the students are motivated by meeting their peers from the surrounding states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington and the Canadian province of British Columbia that comprise the PNW District.
In order to accommodate more students, this year the PNW District has relocated its scheduled meeting to Kennewick, Washington. The Tri-Cities Optimist Club is looking forward to hosting the district at the Red Lion Columbia Center on May 15-16, 2015.
In addition to the scholarship contests, the district will elect lieutenant governors for 2015-2016 and learn more about how to achieve Honor Club in the final months of the year.
